There were 712 homes sold in Ventura County in March, a 25.6% increase from February’s 567 home sales, according to a Friday report released by CoreLogic, an Irvine-based firm that tracks the housing industry. Prices also increased: March’s median home sale price in the county was $583,750, up 3.3% from February’s $565,000.
All of the Southern California counties cited in the CoreLogic report saw increases in their month-to-month home sales and median sale prices. Although Ventura County saw the smallest boost in home sales of the counties in the report, the region had the largest increase in median home sale price. That said, Ventura County’s smaller size means its data is traditionally more volatile than the numbers of neighboring counties.
